Information About What Is Included in Our Vacation Packages:

If you book a package with three or more days of fishing on the Que Vela! you get a free layover day added. So that would be 5 nights of accommodations and three days of offshore fishing or six nights with four days of fishing.

If you have a large group 6 or more we can easily workout a package to add a Bertram to accommodation everyone.

Meals at the lodge are included if you decide to stay at the lodge on your layover day.

We provide airport pick up and drop off plus all necessary ground transportation. Your airport pickup will have cold beers and/or soft drinks waiting for you to partake in as we drop down to the coast on a well maintained secure four lane highway.

Casa Vela Lodge is our unique and beautiful private resort within a very secure gated community less than two miles from the marina. It hosts a pool with waterfall, tv lounge, and self-serve bar. Because it is located in a large gated community, not next to a noisy busy street, it offers a very tranquil setting. In the mornings you will hear flocks of parakeets chirping as they fly overhead, mourning doves and the crashing of ocean waves on shore in the distance and a cup of world famous coffee is what you will start your day with.

Included at the lodge:

Appetizers, breakfasts and family-style dinners all of gourmet quality. We can accommodate diet restrictions. You do have the option of one night going out to a one of our favorite local street grills to experience some local flavor. (a usual highlight)

A self-serve tiki bar consisting of beer and domestic liquors, soft drinks and snacks. Remember with the self serve bar the only tips are maybe a wisecrack tip on better fishing techniques from your fellow fisher friend! Also no unexpected bar bills $$ at the end of your trip!

Laundry service daily. Yep, when you return from fishing your previous day’s laundry will be washed, folded and awaiting on your bed! You can pack light!

Cell phone with approximately 90 minutes of call time to the US.

Wifi hotspot for your smart phones and tablets.

A bottle of wine is included with dinner, additional wine is available for purchase.

Note: Many clients are taking advantage with their own cell phones of the AT&T and Verizon’s international $10 per day rate for unlimited calls and internet. Check with your provider to see what your options are if you prefer to use your own phone.

Included on the boat:

Our vastly experienced and longtime mate, Victor, who is considered one of the best in Guatemala!

All conventional tackle, lures and bait. If you prefer fly fishing the first fly is provided free.

Lunch, snacks, fruit, soft drinks, beer and a sashimi set up for that fresh as you can get tuna or mahi catch.

Transportation included:

To and from airport and to and from the lodge to marina.

Not included:

Layover day drinks and lunches at Antigua or Monterico.

Air transportation, personal expenses, and gratuities for mate and one lodge staff.

Reservation Notes:

Rates: All rates are per person for the relevant number of days fishing.

Not covered: Pricing does not include airfare, gratuities for mate, or any personal expenses.

Boat capacity: Four people per boat on the center console is the suggested maximum.

Payment methods: Venmo, Credit Cards, checks to Panamax Sailfishing, or bank wire transfer.

Deposit: A deposit of 50% is required at time of booking. Remainder is due 30 days prior to your excursion.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 60 days of your trip your 50% deposit will not be refundable. However your deposit can be applied to another date available. In the case the total amount has been paid your deposit will be determined by management’s discretion. We would try hard to re-book those canceled dates to another party at a discount. Depending on that outcome we’ll determine refund and/or apply it to a future rebooking.
